Health tech news, explained.
The health tech news that matters, every morning.
Independence. Health and Tech Now is an independent publication. Views are not those of any employer. Public sources only.
What we cover
Health tech, wearables, digital health, AI in care, biotech and genomics, longevity (including peptides), medical breakthroughs and diseases, and healthcare and insurance, including Medicare. Each story says what changed, gives the key number, explains why it matters in one line, and links the primary source.
How we work
Our team works from primary sources. For Medicare and Medicare Advantage, that means CMS: Star Ratings, plan landscape and premium data, proposed rules and payment model pages. We also cite FDA approvals and guidance, company press releases and quarterly results, court filings, and KFF research. When we use another outlet's reporting, we name it and link it.
Every number in a story links to the source it came from. If we can't trace a number to a source, it stays out. Before a story goes up, we check each claim against the source it cites.
We write every story in our own words. We don't republish articles or images. We label opinions. We don't give medical, legal, financial or plan-enrollment advice, and we don't recommend any plan or carrier.
Your privacy
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies. We don't set tracking cookies, we don't use ad trackers, and there are no accounts. Saved stories and your reading streak are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them. The newsletter signup box comes from Substack, and Substack's privacy policy covers it.
Corrections and tips
If we get something wrong, we fix the story and add a dated note at the bottom that says what changed. We don't change a number without saying so.
Send corrections and tips to hello@healthandtechnow.com. If you've seen a public filing, rule or study we should read, send the link.
